Patna: Bihar Takes a Stand Against Cybercrimes with 44 New Cyber Police Stations
In a significant step towards combating the escalating threat of cybercrimes, the state of Bihar has recently unveiled 44 cyber police stations spread across all 38 districts, including rail police stations. N H Khan, the ADG of the Economic Offences Unit (EOU), made the exciting announcement. The establishment of these dedicated cyber police stations reflects the state's commitment to providing round-the-clock assistance to victims and effectively addressing a wide range of cybercrimes.
Round-the-Clock Support for Cyberfraud Victims
The newly inaugurated cyber police stations will operate 24×7 to ensure swift assistance to victims of cyberfraud. To report a complaint, victims can dial the helpline number 1930, which is available at all times. In cases involving women or minors, the police will personally visit the victim's location to facilitate the filing of the complaint. Additionally, all relevant case documents will be digitally stored, ensuring efficient record-keeping and easy accessibility.

Notably, the cyber police station in Gaya was inaugurated by IG (Magadh range) Kshatraneel Singh near Gaya College, while the one in Khagaria has been set up on the premises of the local SC/ST police station.
